Look At Me! (Mesh Zoom for VRChat and Unity)
Look At Me! is a silly little shader that projects whatever you want onto people's screens! Think of it like an image overlay (such as a HUD) but for meshes like your avatar! π
π What does it do?
- Projects 3D models to user's screens based on criteria you set!
- Think of it like a "zoom", but instead of zooming the users screen to you, you're zooming your mesh (ex. avatar, object) to them!
- Options for distance scaling, angular scaling, and wall detection.
- Options for both manual and automatic squishing, rotating, panning, and shaking (brr).
- Control over zoom amount, the "transform to screen" amount, and position of the model on the screen.
- Full lighting system with extra effects like hue shifts.
- Easy to set up shader that you can just throw on whatever you want!
- An optional commercial license to use in transformative works!
βWhat are some uses?
- In a lot of games or interactive worlds, techniques like this are used to "examine" objects (ever played Escape Room Simulator?)
- You can project 3D meshes as part of a HUD (rather than a boring 2D texture overlay)
- You can have a small miniature copy of you dancing in your hand that zooms in when people look at it. Yes. Force your friends to watch you dance.
- Horror games and maps where an enemy needs to jump out at the user.
- A lot more - put whatever you want on display!
- You can view a preview of it on YouTube here!

The P. Anarchy model featured in the thumbnail/preview is by Voidcakes and can be bought on their store page here! It doesn't come with the package of course, I just use it as my model and thus it always ends up in previews~ please support them! π
